With all that preparatory noise out of the way, let’s dive in to the technicolor free-for-all that is CrossCode. Only my intense distaste for Steam’s Early Access system informs my suggestion to pick up the free demo. The developer projects a finished product sometime in 2016.ĭisclaimer: CrossCode has monstrous potential and the demo was a joy. I have my own ideas on paying real money for an alpha - they aren’t generally positive ideas - and because CrossCode surpassed its funding goal on IndieGogo I would suggest grabbing the demo from GameJolt and waiting for the finished product to come out. Welcome to the world of CrossCode, a land of computers and things and stuff.Ĭurrently the alpha is available on its GameJolt page to download or play in-browser, along with on Steam in early access, but please note the demo’s list price is $20 on Steam.
